Where discipline meets creativity — designing objects, painting emotions.
Kawahya Pastor Daniel (PhD) is an accomplished industrial designer and visual artist whose work explores the intersection of functional design and expressive art. With over two decades of experience in both academia and professional practice, he has exhibited internationally and published extensively on design theory and visual aesthetics.
Design is not decoration. It is the quiet language through which objects speak to the human spirit.
Kawahya Pastor Daniel began his journey in industrial design at the Royal Danish Academy, where he discovered a deep fascination with the dialogue between form and function. His early career saw him working with renowned design studios across Europe, developing products that balanced utility with aesthetic sensibility.
Over time, his practice expanded beyond industrial design into fine art — particularly painting and drawing — where he found a new vocabulary for expressing ideas that couldn't be contained within the boundaries of product design. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries across Denmark, Germany, and the United States.
As a professor, Daniel has mentored hundreds of students, encouraging them to see design not merely as problem-solving, but as an act of cultural expression. His research focuses on material memory, lighting aesthetics, and the emotional resonance of everyday objects.
Today, he continues to teach, paint, and design — always seeking the point where the discipline of craft meets the freedom of imagination.
